In Chicago Now..Going to Borders..

Big store filled with lots of overpriced stuff and things you can get online for much less...I hear they are going out of business..
Here's an idea...set up a desk in Borders for buying and selling used DVD's, CD'S, and books. Call in Borders Exchange...Yes, I know, the internet already has this market in Ebay and Amazon...but sometimes you need or want something on the same day! My house is filled with used discs I would love to trade for new and used stuff...just an idea...and, oh...they need to hire more cashiers! The line was a block long on Sunday. They also need a separate desk for order pick-ups.

I have to say...I really like Borders! The holidays can be a bad time (since the lines are long, the store can be dirty, and they don't have coupons), but during the rest of the year they are great!

1.) They have fabulous deals! You can usually get at least one book for 30-40% off per week. (As I write, they are in the process of moving to the Barnes and Noble model of asking people to buy a membership for $20 in order to get 10% off...will update if I learn more. Must say that I did buy the membership because I was buying over $200 worth of books for a toy drive, so I'll post again if I'm still not receiving large coupons after the holidays.)
2.) The people are (almost) always very helpful! If you can find them...yikes they definitely do need a larger staff! I can say that for the stores in Wilmette, downtown Evanston, Michigan Ave, and State St!

Anyway, interesting idea on the Borders exchange. Why not do it for books too?
